The Riverfest festival is all about celebrating Clarksville’s river heritage and what
better way to do that than with lots of fun water activities?
In 2007, 18 teams did
what some said was impossible and built cardboard boats to race down the Cumberland
River during the Riverfest Regatta. The challenge has been made once again this year
and we anticipate even more boats to enter this exciting race. Regatta races will
take place Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. – 1p.m. with sign-ups beginning at
9 a.m.
Boats must be constructed of these approved materials and may be propelled by oars,
paddles, etc:
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Duct Tape
- Silicone Sealant
- Construction Adhesive
- Paint
