Cultural Booth Guidelines for the River of Culture

1. Participating booths must represent a country or culture.

2. The booth must be decorated or displayed representing the culture (i.e. decorations, flags, or authentic culture displays that will draw the audience to your booth).

3. The booth must have an activity that will educate and interact with the public teaching them what your culture is about (i.e. dance lessons, face painting, language teaching, storytelling, food samples, etc).

4. The festival will provide 1-10x10 tent with 2 tables and 2 chairs. If you need more, the festival will provide what is available.(Chairs are very limited) We recommend bringing your own chairs, if possible.

5. Each booth may have information available to the public representing their organization as long as it is in good taste, and done professionally. (i.e... flyers, pamphlets, or business cards.

6. Each booth must be ready set up no later than 4pm. Friday and 10am on Saturday. Booths may close at 8pm on both nights. Vehicles will not be allowed on the grounds after 2pm on Friday. If you have a large amount of items to be used at your booth, please make arrangements to drop them off prior to 2pm. Security will be on the grounds overnight but it is suggested that items of value be removed when the booth closes.

7. Each booth will have a representative that will be responsible for implementing the above guidelines. The booth must be manned at all times during the hours of operation.
